Notes-based scoring
Not everyone knows what an 8.25 acidity or an 8.5 aroma should mean. In Notes-based mode, you can start with what you actually recognize in the cup. Select the aromas, flavors, and sensory qualities you perceive, and OneTwoCup uses the internal values associated with those selections to generate a score.
This approach is intended to lower the barrier to structured coffee evaluation and may also be useful as a training aid for new cuppers. It is not an official scoring standard or a statement of the “correct” score. Coffee perception is subjective, different people can experience the same coffee differently, and the model is expected to evolve through testing and user feedback.
Recognize what you perceive first. Interpret the score second.
